The Latin American Venture Capital Association (LAVCA) published its annual list of emerging women in the VC industry, and several of ACVC's partner funds were well represented among the 135 women featured.
Congratulations to Antonia Brahm Justiniano, General Manager of Hero Capital; Lorena Gonzalez, Investment Associate at Aurus; MarĂa Sol Bertlshofer, Principal at Wollef; Adriana Coderch, Principal at The Yield Lab; and Graciela Budinich Villanelo, Principal at The Yield Lab LATAM.
In a note dedicated to the ranking by DFMAS, Antonia Brahm commented that "women are no longer an exception in the financial industry in general, nor in venture capital in particular. That's good news for everyone, from investors to entrepreneurs. We have a lot to contribute, and I hope that many more will continue to join a world in which we had tended to be on the sidelines."
Graciela Budinich added that there is still much to be done, not only in terms of gender diversity in teams, but also in terms of cultural, geographical, and expertise diversity, both in investment teams and in startups.
