How to apply for venture capital and not get lost in the process

Raising venture capital funds not only requires a good application, but also knowing the methods of the process to obtain the best results. That is why the Chilean Venture Capital Association (ACVC), with the sponsorship of Amazon Web Services (AWS), will hold a workshop with everything you need to know about it.

The event will take place online on May 27 and 28, and is aimed at entrepreneurs who are preparing to raise funds from venture capital and those who are part of acceleration and incubation program teams.

On both days, topics as diverse as what venture capital is and how this industry works locally and globally will be discussed; the legal and financial perspective of the process; what to expect and what to deliver when the fund manager gets involved in the startup; and business valuation.

The topics will be addressed by eight specialists with different areas of expertise, including Francisco Guzmán, partner at Carey Abogados and president of the ACVC; Evelyn Von Bischhoffshausen, principal at Kayyak Ventures; Federico Antoni, managing partner at ALLVP; and Magdalena Guzmán, executive director of the ACVC. They will be joined by ACVC directors Cristóbal Silva, general partner at Kayyak Ventures; Andrés Meirovich, managing partner at Génesis Ventures; Sebastián Gilbert, partner at Dadneo Capital; and Sebastián González, head of venture partnerships Hispam at Wayra.

In addition, Pedro Pineda, co-founder and CEO of Fintual, will share the startup's experience raising financing. Federico Antoni will be his counterpart and will talk about how the process is experienced from the fund's perspective.

Registration for the workshop is open at https://bit.ly/3uHapnl and both women entrepreneurs and ACVC members have a 20% discount.
