Last week, the Fintech Forum 2023 was held, an event that brought together the entire technology community to discuss financial solutions.
The event had a very full agenda. In one of the panels, the ACVC was represented by its Executive Director Magdalena Guzmán, who shared the stage with Francisco Meneses, Investment Manager at Corfo, and Rafael Gago, Development Leader at FinteChile, as moderator.
The conversation reviewed the state of the art of Fintech investment worldwide, in Latin America, and in Chile. The specialists also analyzed opportunities in nearby markets with low levels of banking penetration, as well as support from the private and public sectors in early and more advanced stages, with specific examples of success and international scaling.
The capital invested in fintech companies in Latin America in recent years accounts for around 45% of the total, and in Chile the percentage is even higher.
