Welcome to the new corporate associates of the ACVC

The Chilean Venture Capital Association made a roundtable on Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) to welcome its new corporate partners.

Magdalena Guzmán, executive director of the ACVC, welcomed the representatives of Agrosuper, Bice Ventures, Coopeuch, Enaex, Enel, and Sodimac, and told about the activities of the association.

Next, Edwin Casallas, head of business development at Wayra Colombia, gave an interesting talk about the fit that should exist between corporations and startups. “The fit is the app that connects companies with startups… and that needs support throughout the value chain. It is a job that never ends,” he said.

In addition, the expert emphasized that to enter this world the corporation has to be totally convinced that it wants to obtain a differentiating value by investing and working with startups. “Along with this, it is necessary to have a communications plan to raise awareness of this work among the different layers of the company,” he assured.

Then, spontaneously, a conversation arose between the CVC experts and the new associates, who exchanged doubts and experiences.
