Chile Day Madrid and London 2025

ACVC had an outstanding participation in the two editions of Chile Day 2025, held in Madrid and London, both organized by InBest Chile and the Chilean Ministry of Finance.

In Madrid, the event brought together more than 700 people. The event included a meeting that brought together more than 40 Spanish and Chilean venture capital funds and investors, generating a space for dialogue on the importance of internationalization and collaboration between the two ecosystems.

Leading Spanish VC funds such as TheVentureCity, Adara Capital, Seaya, Bonsai Capital, Mundi Ventures, Mouro Capital, Culpeo Investments, Decelera, SwanLab, Next Tier Ventures and Zacua Ventures participated. Attending from Chile were Taram Capital, Manutara Ventures, SDK Impact Investing Funds and Krealo, as well as Banco Bci and Caja Los Andes.

In London, venture capital was also a protagonist. There, Francisco Guzmán, president of the ACVC, moderated the panel "Big Players investing in tech companies", which brought together Brian Walsh (director of Copec Wind Ventures), Mariana Gómez (CEO of Credicorp Capital) and Pascual Cortés-Monroy (vice-president of the European fund Northzone).

The panelists agreed that venture capital is experiencing a new cycle of reactivation, driven by artificial intelligence and, in the case of Chile, by advances in climate technologies.

Brian Walsh said that almost 70% of Copec Wind Ventures' investment is in AI, a technology that they see as a tool to change corporate efficiency.

Pascual Cortés-Monroy pointed out that current investment levels in Europe and the U.S. are "four times higher" than three years ago, reflecting the dynamism of this new cycle.

Along the same lines, Mariana Gómez said that "we see venture capital as our future avenue for growth. We cannot bring technology or generate business disruption without venture capital".
